Modra

The conference takes place in Modra. Modra is a town on the foothils of Little Carpathians mountains approximately half an hour away from Bratislava. Modra is known for its blue-and-white porcelain and it is one of the most important viticulture centres in the region.

Travel

From Bratislava: There is a frequent bus connection (approximately every 20 minutes) between Bratislava bus station Mlynské nivy and Modra. Mlynské nivy station is accessible from the main train station by trolleybus number 210. From Bratislava airport it is recomended to take bus number 61 to Bajkalská, where busses to Modra stop (platforms for intercity busses are slightly north from Bratislava public transit stops).

From Viena Airport: There is a frequent service to Bratislava Mlynské nivy bus station. From there, there is a frequent service to Modra.

From Viena (Eurocomb conference): There is a frequent service to Bratislava Mlynské nivy bus station from Vienna Erdbergstrasse. From there, there is a frequent service to Modra.
On Friday, for limited number of people, we can offer a faster alternative to travel from Eurocomb to Modra with the organizers: by train to Bratislava-Petržalka and then by car to Modra. Contact us if you are interested.

Travelling to Cycles and Colourings: The easiest way to get to Starý Smokoves using public transport is by train from Šenkvice (5km away from Modra) via Trnava and Poprad-Tatry. We can arrange the train tickets and transport to Šenkvice for you. For limited number of participants, it will be possible to drive to Starý Smokovec with the organizers.
